Love is blossoming in this new spring and Alice Temperley has sought to capture its vivacity with free-flowing gowns, ether-light silks and fluttering petals that shimmer with the wind.
Temperley’s unrivaled reputation for craftsmanship shines most brightly in the use of lace, beading and embroidery; techniques that are worked and reworked over a course of months to bring them to their full romantic expression. In the Hazel dress, an appliqué embroidery inspired by a traditional Irish Carrickmacross lace technique flutters delicate blooms and ribbons across the lightest silk tulle, whilst in the Ivy dress, tiny crystals and pearls add 3D opulence to a cascade of satin flowers down the bodice.
